Families receive the devastating news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer every day. Smile-A-Mile (SAM) is on a mission to ensure these families on the childhood cancer journey never go through it alone. Our agency admires the work SAM does for our community and is eager to support its mission to provide hope, healing of the spirit, and love for the whole family during this challenging journey.
What started as a summer camp just three decades ago bloomed into a year-round program serving children and families across Alabama affected by childhood cancer.
At Smile-A-Mile, hope is never canceled. Year-round volunteers work diligently to provide these children with hope as they take on this battle. SAM offers various programs to patients, survivors, and their families to restore normalcy and provide them with much-needed relief. However, they can’t do it alone.
